Bio

HI! My name's Mike. I'm 6' tall, 270 lbs., brown (with more and more grey) hair and beard, blue eyes and love to smile and laugh. I believe that life is more of a comedy than a drama and we need to take advantage of our time here and find the humor in it all.

I live in Kansas City, Missouri, and really like it here. I hope to meet other big bears and powerlifters in the area. I work out at Gold's Gym here in Kansas City. I've been working out for a long time, and have had some set-backs with injuries and such and now am concentrating on healthy eating and activity balanced with my intellectual goals.

Comic books have been a personal obsession of mine with the Fantastic Four being my all-time favorite. I loved the X-Men in their heyday back in the late 70s and early 80s. They've become pretty strange and outlandish during the "Morrison era" with the writing and bad dialogue. Joss Whedon (of Buffy the Vampire fame) is now writing one of the X-Men titles (Astonishing X-Men) and I'm back to being a fan again (at least, for that particular book). He knows how to write good dialogue and to handle multiple characters (all those years of dealing with Roseanne, I'm sure, helped).. I loved the first two X-Men Movies the third one missed everything that had already been set up in the first two, so, for me, it fell flat. Good special effects and great actors having to deal with a sub-standard (or for Hollywood today, STANDARD) screenplay.

I've always wanted to do my own comic book and have self-published my very first complete story, in full color! Check out Virtual Infinity Comics for more information!

I have also collaborated with a number of other writers for their projects and am glad for the experience, but now, it's time to get back to my own works!

My favorite movies are mostly comedies (Young Frankenstein, Top Secret, Airplane).

I'm into Rock'n'Roll music. My favorite artists are as follows:

  • Cheap Trick
  • Butch Walker
  • Marvelous 3
  • Collective Soul
  • Stone Temple Pilots
  • Aimee Mann
  • The Grays
  • Jason Faulkner
  • and many others...

I like big guys with nice smiles. I always have. Even before I knew I was Gay, I was attracted to Big Men. Stocky is a good word. I like short, stocky men; I like big thickly built men. I had the hots for John Goodman before he was a big star. I remember his Foot Locker, Nestle's Toll House Cookie, and other commercials when I was in college.

Ivan Putski, the wrestler from the 70s and 80s, was a big attraction for me, although I only got to see him in magazines and later on cable. Thick, muscular, masculine and kind-hearted he was definitely a role model as well as a major attraction for my young, emerging sexuality.

Bob Hoskins is also another "short stocky" type of guy that I am (still) attracted to.

Here's my cat, Tomas. I adopted him from Pet Connections in Mission, Kansas, on January 22, 2005. They told me he was 3 years old at the time. He was about 15 pounds when I got him and now he's about 22 pounds. He's a big kitty.

Well, I hope I haven't bored you too much with all that. If I haven't, I hope to hear from all of you big, burly, bearish, stocky guys out there. Take care!
